ASD launches its new website

The Amityville School District Board of Education and administration recognizes its responsibility to provide parents and community residents with up-to-date information about the operations of the school district. In an effort to continue to improve its communication, the district has launched its newly redesigned web site www.amityville.k12.ny.us.

The new site is more user-friendly, easier to navigate and, perhaps most important, contains current information about the school district that will be regularly monitored and updated. Important information including Board of Education meeting dates, student achievements, sport schedules, upcoming events, information about each of the schools in the district, and emergency information will be kept current and readily available at the touch of a button.

The redesigned web site will be regularly updated, so residents are encouraged to visit the site often to read about the latest school district news. "We appreciate the community's ongoing support and recognize our responsibility to keep community residents informed," stated Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian De Sorbe. "In an age of instant communication, it is vital to the success of our school district that our community residents stay informed and have access to school district information at any time."
