Amityville Town police officer honored on retirement

John Fedel was honored by the Amityville Board of Trustees after retiring from the Town Police Department after 18 years. Born and raised in Bos- ton, Massachusetts, Fedel served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. John and his wife, Clare have made their home in Amityville and have been involved in many community organizations such as the Knight of Columbus. "John has been a very reliable and trustworthy employee, never late, never absent, could always be relied on," says the Chief of Police Cromarty.
