NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the COPIAGUE FIRE DISTRICT, Town of Babylon, County of Suffolk, State of New York, on the 12th day of December, 2007, subject to a permissive referendum as provided for by Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law. An extract of the resolution is as follows: The COPIAGUE FIRE DISTRICT maintains a Firefighting and Rescue Equipment Reserve Fund under Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law in which account there is sufficient funds to accomplish the purpose hereinafter set forth; namely the purchase of a heavy rescue lifting air bag system, in order to maintain the high standards of the COPIAGUE FIRE DEPARTMENT in the discharge of its duties in preserving the lives and property of the residents of the community and said purchase is deemed in the best interests of the residents of the COPIAGUE FIRE DISTRICT.
