Longtime Bay Shore resident John Griffo who worked in Amityville died September 28, 2007. He was 55 years old.

Born April 3, 1952 in Brooklyn to Arthur and Margaret (nee Martocci), for many years he served as production manager at Mega Cabinets on Ranick Drive East in Amityville.

Mr. Griffo leaves behind his brothers: Arthur and Anthony; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Gina in 1997 and his sister Barbara Worme.

A prayer service was conducted at the Powell Funeral Home, Amityville, on October 2, 2007. A private cremation was held on October 3, 2007.
