Eileen Greene: former resident of Amityville

Former Amityville resident and beloved mother Eileen M. Greene (Griffen) died March 9, 2007. She was 80 years old and lived in Wilder, Kentucky. She spent her life caring for her family and home.

She was a longtime member of the choir at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church in Amityville and served as the reunion coordinator for Mepham Alumni, according to her family.

Mrs. Greene leaves behind her husband, David of Wilder, Kentucky; her children: Kevin of Orlando, Florida, Charles Meyn of Cold Spring, Kentucky, Kathleen "Kitty" White of Calabash, North Carolina, Maryann Mueller of Covington, Kentucky and Megan "Moof" of Cranford, New Jersey; her 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Isaac Willets Griffen and mother, Marion (O'Leary) Griffen.

According to her family, she loved to square and round dance as well as spend time with her loved ones.

She reposed at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. A Funeral Mass was said at St. Joseph R.C. Church on March 13, 2007, followed by interment at St. Stephen Cemetery.
