Amity HS College Fairs Provide Insight

The Amityville Memorial High School guidance department presented a series of college fairs for juniors and seniors, during which a host of col- leges and universities visit the district and provide valuable information about admissions and financial aid. The first fair took place in September, with others scheduled throughout the winter. Representatives from various educational institutions spent time with students, advising them on course offerings, and helping them assess their interests and find a school that will be a proper fit for them. Students came away from the first college fair with a wealth of information and a lower anxiety level knowing they have the support they need to make the college application process easier.
