The Mary P. Myton Literary Society met Wednesday, November 15 at the home of Miss Florence Bell.

Mrs. Susan Martinson, president welcomed everyone and thanked the hostesses of the day: Mrs. Mary Ann Costa, Miss Ellie Fay, Miss Dorothy DeBevoise and Miss Bell. A moment of silence was held for Lucille Kruger who had recently passed away.

Mrs. William Shave conducted a book discussion of the books read by members and this was followed by poems and stories about Thanksgiving. In honor of Veterans’ Day, Mrs. Martinson read an inspiring article about the soldiers who guard The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the meeting.
