BIG TOYS arrive at Amityville Elementary Schools

Students in Northeast Elementary School and Northwest Elementary School in the Amityville Public School District are now enjoying brand new "big toys," which have replaced the well-worn playground equipment of days gone by. The district has started 2.4 million dollars worth of capital projects, and the new playgrounds are the first

of many projects that will benefit students and the community alike, that are slated for the 2006- 2007 school year. Others include: roof replacements, the high school all weather track replacement and tennis court renovation, district wide security cameras, and updated irrigation systems for field maintenance.
