Police make arrest in strangling of Copiague woman
Suffolk County Police Department Homicide Squad with the assistance of the United States Marshalls New York-New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force has arrested a Copiague man in connection with the death of his girlfriend.

Osman Suarez, a 29- years-old of 26 Edmunds Place, Copiague is charged with strangling to death his 29-year-old girlfriend Virginia Bonilla-Alvarado on Thursday, November 16, in the basement of the apartment they shared. Suarez and Bonilla Alvarado were dating for almost four years, and lived together for the past two.
Suarez will be charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree. He will be held at the Fifth Precinct over - night and be arraigned at First District Court, Central Islip on November 22.
