DAR meets in Bay Shore

Col. Gilbert Potter Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) met at the home of Chapter Regent Sue Shreve of Bay Shore. Vice Regent Elizabeth Marshall of Port Jefferson told the story of the life of the wife of Past President James Monroe and Joan Ward of Babylon gave a National Defense program about a famous lady of the American Revolution years, Mrs. Pinckney. The guest speaker for the day, Caroline D'Antonio of Amityville, showed slides of the DAR Museum and exhibited items available to purchase at the Museum. Refreshments were provided by

Elizabeth Marshall, Karen Mormando and Kay Dewar of Massapequa and Jeannette Krauszer of Amityville. Kay Dewar poured. The members arranged to attend the DAR Veteran/Patient luncheon at Southward Ho Country Club, West Bay Shore on November 10 and also planned the Christmas luncheon/auction to be held at the home of Caroline D'Antonio.
