Woman found dead in Copiague apartment

A 29-year-old Copiague woman was found dead in her apartment Friday, Nov. 17. Police said that Vir- ginia Bonilla Alvarado, of 26 Edmunds Pl., Copiague appeared to have been suffocated. The Suffolk County Police Department Homicide Squad is investigating.

On Friday, police were notified by a caller that someone had died in a basement apartment at that location. When police arrived they found the body in the basement apartment.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 220-TIPS or the Homicide Squad at 631-852- 6392. All calls will be kept confidential.
