AARP honors Maria Rice of Copiague
Rice has served as an activist on AARP legislative priorities, including prescription drug affordability and cell phone consumer protections. AARP volunteers, chapters, and community partners joined Rice in celebrating her exceptional service and dedication to improving the lives of older New Yorkers. "Today's celebration honors the long history AARP volunteers have of serving the needs of their community," said Lois Aronstein, AARP New York State Director. "Maria' s efforts and her spirit of volunteerism help us to redefine aging and enhance the lives of older New Yorkers."
Shown in the photo, AARP New York State President Lois Aronstein congratulates Maria Rice for her advocacy efforts along with New York State Executive Council member Phyllis Hill Slater.
