Copiague High School senior earns National Merit Scholarship Commendation

Trinh Nguyen, a senior at Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School in the Copiague School District, was recently named a Commended Student in the 2007 National Merit Scholarship Program. Trinh received her Letter of Commendation in recognition of her outstanding academic promise based on her Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) scores.

As a Commended student, Nguyen placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who entered the 2007 competition.
