A program in Hatha Yoga will be offered Thursdays, September 7, 14, 21 and 28 and October 5 and 12, 10:30 a.m. to noon. The fee is $23 payable by check or money order to the Amityville Public Library. Instructor Yamuna Bazyte teaches the program which works the whole body, mind and spirit to promote strength and flexibility. Registration is required.

Computer kindergarten is being offered Thursday, September 7, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The fee is $5 payable by check or money order to the Amityville Public Library. This is a slow-paced, user-friendly workshop for first-time users.

The Long Island Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra will perform Tuesday, September 12, 7 to 8 p.m. The orchestra is conducted by director Antoniana Nigrelle and assistant director Charles Sloan.

The Library is offering a trip to Bear Mountain, Saturday,October 7, departing the Library 8 a.m. and then departing Bear Mountain 4:30 p.m. The cost is $17.00 The cost includes box lunch, deluxe motor coach transportation, park admission and gratuities.

On Saturday, September 9, noon to 2 p.m. a new child safety program called Ident-a-Kid will be presented at the library. The program assists parents in creating a kit containing vital information regarding their children.

Sign language classes will be offered Wednesdays, September 13, 20 and 27, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Suffolk County Department of Health is offering a seven-week program to help you quit smoking, Thursdays, September 14, 21 and 28 and October 5, 12 and 19, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
