Adrienne C. Egglinger, of Amityville, received a bachelor of arts cum laude in communication studies from the College of Arts and Sciences at Alfred University, Alfred, New York. She is the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Stephen Egglinger of Amityville and a graduate of Amityville Memorial High School.

Jocelyn Homola, of Amityville, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2005 semester at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Homola and a graduate of Amityville Memorial High School.

Farmingdale State University held its Farmingdale Foundation and Alumni Association Student Scholarship Reception recently. The following local residents were awarded scholarships: Michael Bentley of Copiague and Essence McDonald of Amityville.

James Kay, of Amityville, was named to the dean's list at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut for the spring semester.

Seneca Toi Washington, of Copiague, received a master of science in security management from Bellevue University in Nebraska.

Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, High School, Hicksville, has announced its honor rolls for the third academic quarter. Students achieving a minimum weighted average of 90 percent or more are named to the "A" honor roll and students with 85 percent or more are named to the "B" honor roll. Named to the "A" honor roll from Amityville are Marisa Caramanico, Claire Hogan, Lauren Priola, Emily Tannanbaum and Michele Theroux and from Copiague are Ryan Arredondo, Nicole Giannini and Dennis Sheehan. Named to the "B" honor roll from Amityville are Cristin McAleavey and Anna Stec, from Copiague are Richard Born and Patrick Hunt and from Copiague Harbor is Anthony Giannini.

Daisy Yeraldin Sosa, of Amityville and a student at Amityville Memorial High School, was named the year 2005-2006 recipient of the Saint Michael's College Scholarship and Service Book Award. The

Shanieka S. Jones, of Amityville, was named to the spring honors list at Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia.

Meghan Weber, of Amityville, was named to the dean's list at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia for the 2005 fall semester, the 2006 spring semester and the 2006 summer semester. She is the daughter of John and Sharon Weber of Amityville.

Charles W. Koegler, of Amityville, received a bachelor of science in business administration and award recognized students who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism and leadership through community service. She is the daughter of Daisy Vasquez of Amityville.

Laura Hickey, the daughter of Jim and Lisa Hickey of Amityville, has been named to Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communications Honors Fraternity. In addition she was named to the dean's list at Marist College for the spring semester. Laura graduated from Amityville Memorial High School in 2003 as salutatorian and will be graduating from Marist College in the fall with a degree in communications: public relations and journalism.
