Kathryn Zaccaro, 69, formerly of Amityville
Kathryn Marie Zaccaro, a 32-year former resident of Amityville, was a member of the Red Hat Society and Venice Isle Bocce Club at her home in Florida. The devoted wife and mother died May 25, 2006 in Venice, Florida. She was 69 years old.
Born in Amityville on December 29, 1936 and a graduate of Queen of the Rosary Academy, she lived in the area until about 1968. She later lived in Hollywood, Florida and Laurinburg, North Carolina before settling in Venice five years ago.
Mrs. Zaccaro was Administrative Assistant to the Dean and Assistant to the Registrar of the Natural & Health Sciences Department of St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina for many years.
She was also a member of the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Venice, Venice Isle Classy Ladies and the Venice Beach Sunset Club.
Mrs. Zaccaro leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Clement; her children: Frank of Brandon, Florida, Michael of Laurinburg, North Carolina and Patricia Harris and her husband Richard of Treasure Island, Florida; her sister: Joan Hoffman of Long Island; as well as many friends and loved ones.
She reposed onJune 2, 2006 at the Ewing Funeral Home in Venice, Florida followed by private interment.
