A longtime Babylon area resident, Patricia Davis was a dedicated mother and wife. For ten years she was a popular waitress at IHOP (International House of Pancakes) at both the Babylon and Bay Shore locations. Although she retired in 2002, patrons continued to request their favorite server long after she had gone.

Patricia Davis died December 8, 2005 at her home on North Wood Court in North Babylon. She was 64 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, she moved to Babylon at age three. After marrying John Howard, she stayed home to raise their only child, John James, and run the household.

"My mother was a tremendous woman who cherished the great times and became the very fabric that kept our family together throughout difficult times," said her son. Just recently, she was thrilled when told she was going to be a grandmother. "Even though she’s not here, I know she’s smiling down on all of us," said her son.

Mrs. Davis was a mystery buff who never missed an episode of CSI or reruns of Perry Mason, Matlock and Columbo.

She leaves behind her husband of 37 years, John of North Babylon; her son John and his wife Rachel of West Babylon; her half-sister Margaret Klein of Copiague as well as many beloved friends.

On December 10, 2005 she reposed at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main Street, Babylon followed by a private cremation.
