•Tai Chi will be offered Mondays, September 26 and October 17 and 24, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Loose comfortable clothing should be worn. Beginners are always welcome.

•Tonight, Wednesday, September 21, 7:30 to 9 p.m. join nutritional speaker Carmela Gabriele for a discussion on the many ways we can use foods and supplements to boost our immune system. Learn methods for using nutrition and lifestyle changes to naturally defend us against illness. Receive herbal and supplement recommendations to keep your body’s defenses strong. Learn which foods to include and which to avoid for optimal health.

•The library is holding a garage sale and swap meet, Saturday, September 24, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Copiague Library cardholders are invited to bring items they would like to sell or swap to the library. The library will provide tables in the parking lot for each participant to set up their things. You must register to participate in this event. Anyone can come on the day of the event to buy or browse.

•Jack Schnur returns to the lLibrary on Sunday, September 25, 2 to 3:30 p.m. for an all-new show on the life of legendary songwriter Cole Porter. This multimedia presentation will show you the man behind the music through story and song.

•The library is offering a trip to Bear Mountain, Saturday, October 8. The bus departs the Library at 8 a.m. and then departs from Bear Mountain 4:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per person for residents and $22 for non-residents. The cost includes box lunch, deluxe motor coach transportation, admission to the park and all gratuities.
