On Friday, January 7, 15 students from Amityville High School participated in the 12th Annual Suffolk County Teachers Association Mathematics Tournament. The top students from Amityville were: seniors - Owen Brooks with nine points, Stephanie Pagan with eight points and Tiffany Gibson with six points; juniors - Hussein Kalimuddin with eight points and Dael Cepeda and Victoria Villena with two points each and sophomore Alex Spychalsky with eight points.
