It’s an accident waiting to happen at Ketcham Avenue and Merrick Road Dear Editor:

Isn’t it nice, when you’re going to work, only to sit at the white line on Merrick Road and Ketcham Avenue, at one of the longest traffic lights in town so you don’t block the entrance to the shopping plaza.

The cars in back of you can’t make a right turn, because there are always cars parked on the side, now a car pulls out from the plaza, to make a left onto Merrick Road and blocks up everyone. A car coming off Merrick Road can’t get in the "entrance" and the car following is now sticking out onto Merrick Road, waiting to be broadsided. I’ve seen this many times. There are two other entrances from Merrick Road. Close down the one on Ketcham Avenue all together. Then residents can make their right turns, there’s no more blockage, and there won’t be anyone else to "vent," like me.
