•On Wednesday March 30, 7 to 8:30 p.m. certified genealogist Rhoda Miller will be at the Library to show you what Internet resources you can access to trace your family tree and start building a family history.

•The Library will offer a bus trip to Mohegan Sun Casino, Saturday, April 9. The bus departs the library 8:30 a.m. and then departs the casino six hours after arrival. The cost is $23 per person. The non-resident cost is $28 per person. The price includes deluxe motor coach transportation, box lunch and all gratuities.

•The Copiague Memorial Public Library is offering a trip to see Wicked on Broadway, Tuesday, May 3. The bus departs the library 1:30 p.m. and show time is 7 p.m. The cost is $105 for residents and $115 for non-residents. You will have time before the show to have a bite to eat and shop on your own. Price includes orchestra seat to the show, deluxe motor coach transportation and all gratuities.

•Artwork from Amityville Schools will be on display at the library throughout the school year. For the month of March the library will showcase artwork from Northeast Elementary School and Amityville Memorial High School teacher Melissa Cassavaugh.

•Tax Assistance volunteers (VITA) from Hofstra University will be at the Library Sunday April 10, 1 to 4 p.m. to assist individuals in preparing their tax returns. Individuals are asked to bring their W-2 forms and last year’s tax returns. Volunteers will assist individuals on a first-come, first-serve basis. No registration is necessary.
