NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Pursuant to resolution adopted by the Town Board, The Town of Babylon, Commissioner of General Services, Division of Purchasing will receive sealed proposals for:
BID NO. 05G29
REPLACEMENT OF TRANSITE WATER MAIN
AT SECCATOGUE AVENUE
until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, MARCH 10, 2005 at Town Hall, 200 East Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst, New York 11757, at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Division of Purchasing office. The bid may be hand delivered or mailed to the above address. Bids will not be accepted after 10:00 a.m. on the date of bid opening. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED. Bidding and contract documents may be examined and obtained at the Town Hall Purchasing Department between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays on and after THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2005.
A deposit of $50.00 is required for each set of Contract Documents. Checks are to be made payable to the Town of Babylon.
Such deposit will be refunded to any Bidder duly submitting a bid with the required bid security, upon return of complete set of Plans and Specifications in good condition within thirty (30) days of award of contract.
Non-Bidders returning complete sets of Plans and Specifications within thirty (30) days of award of contract will receive one-half (1/2) of their deposit.
Non-return of Plans and Specifications or sets returned after thirty (30) days of award of contract will result in forfeiture of $50.00 deposit.
Each Proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond made payable to the Town of Babylon in the amount of five percent (5%).
The Town of Babylon encourages minority and women-owned businesses to participate in all bids.
