NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Village of Amityville’s Administration/Clerk will receive sealed proposals for: BID 05-02 MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS TO PETERKIN PARK AMITYVILLE NY
until 10 am on Wednesday, March 2nd 2005 at Village Hall, 21 Greene Avenue, Amityville, New York 11701 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed to the above address. No proposals will be accepted after 10 am on the date of bid opening. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED. Do not remove any pages, all proposals are to be submitted intact.
The contract documents may be examined and obtained at Village Hall between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm daily except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays on and after Thursday, February 17th 2005. A deposit of $50. is required for each set of contract documents. Checks are to be made payable to the Village of Amityville. Such deposit will be refunded to any Bidder, duly submitting a bid with the required bid security, upon return of complete set of Plans and Specifications in good condition within thirty (30) days of award of contract. Non-bidders returning complete set of Plans and Specifications within thirty (30) days of award of contract will receive one-half of their deposit. Non-return of Plans and Specifications or sets returned after thirty (30) days of award of contract will result in forfeiture of $50. deposit. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Village of Amityville in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of bid. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
The Village of Amityville encourages minority and women-owned businesses to participate in all bids.
This project is being funded in whole or in part with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds through the Town of Babylon’s Community Development Program. Therefore, certain contract compliance procedures, which are outlined in this bid package, must be followed.
Before any payments are made on any construction projects the proper paperwork must be completed and submitted for review by the Community Development Program.
NOTE: The Village will not reimburse any firms for any costs with the preparation of this bid proposal.
