•Anthony J. Guetti, of Amityville, graduated from Amherst College, Amherst, Massachusetts with a bachelor of arts in English. He is the son of James L. Guetti of Leverett and Martha Webster of Amityville.

•The following Amityville residents graduated from Nassau Community College, Garden City at the spring commencement: Andrea N. Hinds, Dora L. Myles, Dania A. Platek, Gustavo S. Rodriguez, Anita J. Stokes, Bryan C. Tarantino and Nurismate C. Williams.

•The following Amityville residents were named to the dean’s list at Nassau Community College, Garden City for the spring semester are Brian P. Carroll, Jenna B. Goldstein, Veronica Graves, Lauren M. Miller and Gustavo S. Rodriguez.

•The United States Achievement Academy announced that Alexandra R. Abrams, of Amityville, has been named an All-American Scholar. A student at The Hewlett School, she was nominated for this award by Tara Kuss. Abrams is the daughter of Renee and Gilbert Abrams of Amityville.

•Diana Maria Dominguez, daughter of Bolivar and Gloria Dominguez of Copiague graduated from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia, with a bachelor of science in biology. She is a graduate of Copiague High School.

•Dorothea Alicia Nixon, of Copiague, received a degree in sociology cum laude from the State University of New York at Potsdam. She is the daughter of Neremiah Nixon of Babylon and Nicole Dorival of Southampton.

•Tim J. Ross, the son of Joseph Ross of Amityville, received a bachelor of science degree from Bradley University University, Peoria, Illinois, during the mid-year commencement ceremony on December 20, 2003.

•Kristin A. Studer, of Amityville, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2003 semester at the University of Vermont. Studer is a senior community development and applied economics major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

•Named to the "A" honor roll at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School, Hicksville, for averages of 90 percent or better from Amityville are Lindsay Ahrens, Thomas Cappelino, John Zider, Claire Hogan, Maria Caramanico, Laurel Erath, Emily Tannenbaum and Michele Therous; from South Amityville is Dakota Burrell. and from Copiague are Megan White, Ryan Arredondo and Nicole Giannini Named to the "B" honor for averages of 85 per cent or better from Amityville are Ashley Dunn and Kristen Weed and from Copiague are Jokosta Taveras and Craig Ginsberg.

•Judi-Ann Cutrone, of Amityville, a senior in the School of Communication at American University, Washington, D.C. and majoring in interdisciplinary studies was named to the fall 2003 dean’s list.

•Lauren M. Russell of Copiague, a zoology major at the State University of New York at Oswego will be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremonies to be held Saturday, May 15.

•Nicole Deolinda Pappas, of Amityville, was awarded a bachelor of arts in sociology from the State University of New York at Fredonia.

•James Lucas, of Copiague, accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars(NSCS) and will be honored during a ceremony this fall at Florida International University. NSCS recognizes first and second year undergraduate students who excel academically.

•The Farmingdale Foundation and the Alumni Association of the State University of New York at Farmingdale awarded the following scholarships to Amityville residents: Lillian Hanchard-Blake, a nursing student, the 2004 Richard Robinson Scholarship; Alison Harris, a nursing student, the 100 Black Women Scholarship and Nikiesha White, computer programming and information systems, received the Campus Fund Scholarship.
