As a concerned parent and resident of Amityville I would like to state my deep concern about traffic flow around the train station. As you know there are quite a few taxis doing business in the area. These people are driving around recklessly and at speeds completely unacceptable for the area.

Sterling Place has many children and these drivers often travel well over 40 miles per hour on this residential street. I have never seen an Amityville Police officer monitoring speeding in this area or issuing a summons.

This is a tragedy waiting to happen. I would like to see action taken before anything happens.
