Raymond L. Rose, 70, former resident and AMHS graduate

Raymond L. Rose, a former resident of Amityville and a graduate of Amityville Memorial High School, died September 14, 2003 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was 70 years old.

Mr. Rose was born in Brooklyn and moved to St. Petersburg in 1993 from Springfield, Ohio. He was a retired electrician and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Statue of Liberty Association, the Air Force Memorial Association, the National Rifle Association and the American Legion. H was also a member of the United Auto Workers Local 402 for many years.

Mr. Rose is survived by his daughter, Peggy Rose of New Port Richey, Florida and by three sons, Robert of Sioux City, Iowa; Gary and his wife Laurie of Centerville, Georgia and Michael of Newport News, Virginia. A sister, Barbara Bello and her husband John of Amityville also survives him as does a brother Lawrence Rose, Eau Gallie; his companion, Beverly Kelsey, South Pasadena and 11 grandchildren.

He reposed at the James Reese Funeral Home and Crematory, Seminole, Florida.
