•Registration is underway for an AARP 55 Alive Driver Safety course to be held Saturday, December 6, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Only drivers age 50 and over may register. A $10 fee payable to AARP by check or money order only is due the day of the class. You must register at the library before attending this class.

•On Sunday, November 30, 2 to 3 p.m., David Houston will recreate Charles Dickens’ classic novel A Christmas Carol. Houston has performed the works of Charles Dickens to rave reviews.

•A senior health seminar will be offered Wednesday, December 3, 2 to 3 p.m. Peg Smith, R.N. will be available after the senior movie to discuss health and nutrition. This talk and slide presentation will focus on issues effecting seniors such as arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, weight concerns and aging. A question and answer period will follow.

•On Wednesday, December 3, 7 to 9 p.m., Carmela Gabriele will return to the library to offer more about the Enneagram, the system of examining personalities that is being used by psychologists and therapists to get a deeper understanding of human nature. The system is based on nine broad categories of personality traits and behaviors that you will find incredibly accurate. Even if you missed the first class, you will still be amazed by this system of gaining insight into ourselves and others.

•A program entitled Antarctica, Voyage to the Frozen Continent will be given Thursday, December 4, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Join Eco-Photo Explorers across the turbulent Drake Passage to explore the pristine wilderness along the Antarctic Peninsula. Through this audio-visual presentation witness dramatic landscapes, fascinating wildlife and heart-stopping adventure both above and below the icy water.

•Registration will begin December 1, 6 p.m. in the children’s room for the following classes: Crafting a reindeer cocoa gift jar, Monday, December 8, 7 to 8 p.m. for seven to 11 year olds; Tuesday, December 9, crafting a homemade snowman clay pot bell, for age four to six; Tiny Tot December fun for toddlers, age two to four, Wednesday, December 10 and 17, 10 to 11 a.m. and then freedom of fun with movement for children, 18 months to five years old on Monday, December 15, 7 to 8 p.m.
