Copiague 50 Deauville Blvd 631-691-1111 •Tonight, Wednesday August 20, 7 to 8:30 a multi-media presentation will be given on Cocos Island, an island of mystery and beauty off the coast of Costa Rica that has captured the imagination of explorers, adventurers and scuba divers. Eco-Photo Explorers will give the presentation. •Carmela Gabriele will offer a program on enneagram, the ancient system of personality typing. The program will be held Monday, August 25, 7:30 to 9 p.m. •On Thursday August 28, a program will be given on exploring the summer night sky. It will be held from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. for grades kindergarten through third and from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. for grades four to seven. Explore the planets, constellations and meteor showers and learn about Mars, which is highly visible from Long Island this summer. Night Sky Starlab will bring their inflatable planetarium to the community room for an educational and visually stunning space show your kids will talk about for years. Parent or caregiver must accompany children in grades kindergarten through third. |
