•On Saturday, August 3, 7 to 9 p.m. an outdoor performance will be performed by the Long Island Brass Guild. Refreshments will be served. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held in the community room. Registration is underway.

•On Saturday, August 3, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. a CPR certification class will be held. The cost is $35 per person by check or money order made payable to Leslie Bilawsky. There are no refunds. Registration is underway.

•On Tuesday, August 6, 7 to 8:30 p.m. astronomer, teacher and former Sayville Planetarium director Lee Ognibene will bring his video space show to the library for a family program. He will take you on a spectacular journey through space where you will learn about the constellations, the phases of the moon, comets, meteors, galaxies and more.

•On Sunday, August 18, the library is offering a trip to Montauk Lighthouse and The East End. The bus departs the library 8:30 a.m. and then departs Montauk 4 p.m. The cost is $13 per person. You will be visiting the Montauk Lighthouse, a historical and recreational park where you can climb to the top of the lighthouse, visit the museum, stroll the grounds, grab a bite to eat at the snack bar and relax on the beach. At 2:30 you will leave the park and stop in town where you can browse and shop. The price includes deluxe motor coach transportation, admission to park, box lunch and all gratuities.
