The 22 annual Amityville road walk and race will be held Saturday, June 29, 9 a.m., sharp, rain or shine. The race starts at the main firehouse near the Amityville Rail Road Train station on Ketcham Avenue. It will finish at the Amityville Village Beach at the end of South Bayview Avenue. Please note that race participants will need transportation back to the starting point to pick up their cars.

Walkers are also welcome. The cost is $12 and if preregistered, a tee shirt is guaranteed. The walk will start at South Ketcham Avenue and Merrick Road, 9 a.m.

The course is approximately 4 miles. It is fast, flat and above all, a fun run. Pre registration is $12 before June 18. Late registration is also $12, but a tee shirt is not guaranteed. Overall winners in both the male and female category will be selected, with three finishers in each age group.
