 On Wednesday, May 22, family, friends and coworkers of Babylon Town Supervisor Steven Bellone gathered at the LaGrange Inn of West Islip to witness his receipt of the Good Deed Award. The Sagtikos District of the Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America honored Bellone, shown at right, at its 22nd annual Good Deed Awards Dinner. Local attorney Edward McCabe, chairman of the Good Deed Committee, presented Bellone with the award plaque. McCabe, shown at right, said that the organization appreciated Supervisor Bellone for always being a "strong supporter of the Boy Scouts." Past Good Deed recipient, Councilman Wayne Horsley, was the master of ceremonies for the event.
