Rita Gargano, a resident of Copiague, died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home on May 28, 2002.

Rita enjoyed crafts, gardening, homemaking and the beach, said her family. She loved children and spent many hours playing and teaching them. She spent much of her life helping friends and family members and will be missed.

Rita Gargano is survived by her sister Mary Ann Pirozzi and her brothers Paul and Keith Gargano. Also surviving her are her sons Richard, Joseph and Michael Shuba and her daughter-in-law Esther Shuba, her grandsons Jessie, Michael, granddaughters Marissa , Sabrina and Alexa and by her many friends.

A prayer service was held on June 2, 2002 attended by close friends and family members. Cremation was private.
