Vincent J. Poveromo, of Copiague, died May 30, 2002. He was a retired United Nations lieutenant.

Mr. Poveromo is survived by his wife, Marie-Josee formerly of Belgium; his children and their spouses, Jean Paul (Butch), Vincent, Denise, Barbara and Joanne and his grandchildren, Nicole, James, Jon Paul and Vincent. Also surviving his are his siblings Louis, Michael, William, Paul and Mitzi Brien. His sister, Josephine Eirman, predeceased.

Mr. Poveromo reposed at D’Andrea Brothers Funeral Home, 99 Oak St., Copiague. Interment followed in Long Island National Cemetery at Calverton.
