The final meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) was held at the home of Past Regent Mary Menkes of Massapequa. Chapter officer reports, committee reports, annual treasurer’s report and budget were presented and approved. Delegates were elected for state and national conferences. Regent Jeannette Krauszer thanked the hostess for refreshments and her committee including Berenice Giordano, Lynn Tewksbury and Susan Nifenecker. Berenice Giordano, parade chairman, announced arrangements for the Memorial Day parade and the Fourth of July parade. The annual philanthropic luncheon will be held at Southward Ho in Bay Shore on June 20. Anyone interested in attending or becoming a DAR please contact Regent Jeannette Krauszer at 631-691-5813.
