Amity resident asked to participate in National Youth Forum on Law
Kathleen Kretz of Amityville has recently been selected to participate in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Law (NYLF/LAW) from November 6 to 11 in Washington, D.C. Having demonstrated academic achievement and an interest in law and justice, Kretz will join more than 350 outstanding high school juniors and seniors from across the United States at the Forum.
"The National Youth Leadership Forum on Law gives bright, young people like Kathleen Kretz an opportunity to learn what it takes to pursue the different disciplines of law before they head off to college," said Donna Weldin, executive director of the NYLF. "This early exposure to their chosen field allows these individuals to be much more selective and focused in their studies and internships as they map out their route to law school and beyond. By interacting with partners at law firms, and criminal defense attorneys and prosecutors, as well as professors and other professionals who work with the justice system, the process of students shaping their future starts here."
