Opening tea and guest day at Unqua Club

Mrs. David D’Antonio, president, presided over the opening tea and guest day at Unqua Yacht Club for the Amityville Woman’s Club. Mrs. James Montgomery and Mrs. Frank Sheridan were the hostesses. Mrs. John Plant provided the floral arrangements. Mrs. Ernest Caramanico designed the name tags. Harp music was provided during the festivities by Mr. Joseph Guidice.

Mrs. Robert D’Andrea, chairman, was assisted by Mrs. H. Donald Dewar, Mrs. Robert Erath, Mrs. Nicholas Krauser, Mrs. Bruce Mac Gill, Mrs. Joseph Miller, Mrs. Vincent Ricciuti, Mrs. William Shave and Mrs. Robert Sutermeister.

The program was presented by a docent from the Bethpage Restoration. She was attired in a colonial costume. She explained life in the early days and discussed some of the utensils and goods used by the settlers in the 18th and 19th centuries on Long Island.

Several of the club members were dressed in colonial attire.
