Youngsters skilled in the Optimist Sail Boat joined local sailor Ariel Koehler, 13, of Amityville at a clinic with Internationally renowned coach Pablo Weber. The advanced Optimist Clinic was held from May 4-6 at the Dinghy Shop on South Bayview Avenue at Woods Creek. The young sailors came from around Long Island and as far as the Tri-state area. This was an exclusive United States clinic by Weber, who is the coach for the Argentinean and Bermudan World and National Teams. Ariel Koehler has been to Bermuda twice before to train with Coach Weber.
