Helen Harriet (Hamilton) Mimms, 75, former resident of Long Island
      Helen Harriet (Hamilton) Mimms, of Ayer, Massachusetts, died September 21, 2000 after a long illness. She was born November 5, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Hazard) Hamilton Sr. and was was the wife of the late DuVal Mimms who predeceased her in 1970.

Memorial Garden dedication for Frank Powell Sunday
      The public is cordially invited to attend the dedication of the Frank Beebe Powell Memorial Garden Sunday, October 15, 1 p.m. on the grounds of the Lauder Museum. A reception in the Museum with refreshments will be followed by a slide show and walking tour of the lower Broadway historic district chaired by Past President Richard Handler.

Wayne E. Friedrich, 46, Amityville resident
      Wayne E. Friedrich, 46, a resident of Amityville for the past ten years, died at his home September 25, 2000. Born in queens, New York, August 2, 1954, he had been employed as a Code Enforcer for Nassau County for the past 21 years. He was also a 25 year member and Ex-Captain for the Jericho Fire Department, serving in Company # 2. At the time of his death, Mr. Friedrich was serving as Department Treasurer, a position he had held for the past ten years. He also taught fire prevention courses in the Jericho Schools, as well as in the fire department itself. He was a lover of animals and an avid Nascar racing buff.
