Yolanda (Julia) Hofmannn, a longtime resident of Copiague, died January 25, 2000 at Brunswick Hospital Center at the age of 86. Born in Brooklyn on November 22, 1913, Mrs. Hofmannn was predeceased by her husband Theodore, in January of 1993. An avid card player, Mrs. Hofmannn loved gin rummy. She is survived by a nephew, Ernest C. Svara, and his wife Dorothy of Maspeth, Queens along with many grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews.

Funeral services were held at the Powell Funeral Home, 67 Broadway, Amityville on Thursday evening, January 27. Interment was in Long Island National Cemetery at Calverton. Arrangements were under the direction of the Powell Funeral Home.
