Police Blotter

The following incidents have been reported by the Amityville Police Department and Suffolk County Police Departments and other local fire and law enforcement agencies:

BURGLARY

North Amityville: Someone broke into a Silver Pine Drive home April 3. The break-in was discovered at about 7:30 a.m. A variety of articles were taken.

Copiague: An unknown person driving a red van broke into a Pinelawn Avenue business April 7, at about 12:30 p.m., and stole assorted valuable items.

GRAND LARCENY

North Amityville: On April 2, shortly before 11 p.m., the rims and tires were stolen from a car on Birch Road.

ARRESTS

DWI: The following persons have been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated or impaired: Essaq Amani, 839 North Broome Ave., Lindenhurst; John McEnroe, 53 North Cartwright, Shelter Island; David Mugavera, 66 Phelps La., North Babylon; Paul Quinn, 159 Monarch Ave., North Babylon; Carlton Stewart, 258 Jefferson Ave., Amityville

Rape: Albert Benton, 78 Peary St., West Babylon; Everett Thomas Jr., 55 East Cherry St., Central Islip;

Grand Larceny: Monique Parker, 155 Governor Ave., North Babylon (also charged w/ Forgery).

The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
