Displaced Brunswick employees will be able to take some comfort
Dear Editor:

With the closing of Brunswick Hospital in Amityville, a response of one of its administrators, was "closing community hospitals is part of a nationwide trend." This statement could not be further from the truth.

Brunswick Hospital cared for all patients from different socioeconomic backgrounds proudly for so many years, now will provide a haven to the same type of people who are evacuees from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

This will be a legacy that the displaced employees of this institution will be able to take some comfort in.
