NAFCo collecting items for Hurricane Katrina victims; public's cooperation sought

Hurricane Katrina has touched the lives of many Americans whether directly or indirectly and the North Amityville Fire Company is hoping to be of assistance to the survivors of this tragedy. Members are asking for your support in assisting those who have lost their homes, their livelihoods and their lives during this storm. Donations in the form of clothing, shoes, toys, blankets and non-perishable food items will all go directly to the people who have been hardest hit in the states of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana.

Please drop off your donations to The North Amityville Fire Company Substation, 54 Commerce Blvd., Amityville, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If you have any further questions, or in certain instances , would like to schedule a pick up of your items, contact Paula Adams at 631-789-2983, extension 203.
