Veterans look to public to take part in Memorial Day and Veteran's Day services
Dear Editor:

I write in reference to the letter claiming no mention was made on Memorial Day of 9/11/01, the horrific tragedy that our nation had to bear.

Following our Memorial Day Parade, all marching groups and residents were invited to join us at our annual memorial service that took place at Brady Park. It was there that I chose to not only mention 9/11/01 but praise all the individuals who lost their lives - all the American men and women that perished whether in a rescue mode or just fellow citizens carrying on their day-to-day lives.

It is my hope that in the future more residents will attend our memorial service, which is the true reminder and tribute to all our nation's veterans and heroes.
