     Longtime Amityville resident and mother of seven, Pauline K. Harding died Jan. 2, 2010 at her home. She was 80 years old. She was born July 17, 1929 in Huntington to Nicholas and Louise (Franz) Kreischer and had dedicated her life to her family and home. Mrs. Harding leaves behind her children, Kevin J. and his wife Nancy, Michael J. and his wife Karen, Paul W., Clare H.

Irene Hetterich, St. Martin of Tours School secretary
     Irene Hetterich, a longtime secretary at St. Martin of Tours School and an Extraordinary Minister at the church, died Sat., Jan. 16, 2010, at home in Whispering Pines, North Carolina. She was 74 years old and had lived in Amityville from 1955 to 1998. Born March 5, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Margaret and John Callahan.

Theodore “Teddy” Adams, longtime member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Copiague
     Amityville resident Theodore “Teddy” Adams, Jr., died Jan. 4, 2010 after an illness at New Island Hospital, Bethpage. The 58-year-old was a parishioner at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Copiague and the church’s webmaster. “Teddy will be sorely missed for his both his (computer) knowledge and being a wonderful congregant,” said Rev.
